The Company

Since 1953 we have designed and created mixtures of ingredients for each product, application and production process, supporting the meat industry with more than just a service. Our development plant is equipped with production lines of a very high quality standard to produce excellent mixtures of condiments, functional ingredients and food additives. In addition to having a modern laboratory which controls the quality of our products, to which we add an extensive technological knowledge of our staff, it has enabled us to create a wide range of products, which are characterised by a refined and intense flavour and aroma, and a great functionality of the preparations.

Currently, we continue every day to feed our know-how in order to continue growing and providing the best solutions to our customers.

2018

Taberner is awarded the IFS (International Features Standards) food safety certification. Profood by Taberner is born, a range of culinary solutions for the professional chef in parallel to the MARINEchef liquid marinades.

2015

Taberner certifies the first Halal products and starts to attend the Djazagro trade fair in Algeria.

2013

The need to expand the production area and the objective of optimising the service mean that the logistics and offices move to the facilities in Ribarroja.  The production facilities are adapted, the machinery is renewed to improve the production processes.

2010

From this year, the leading meat trade fair, the IFFA in Frankfurt, has a Taberner stand as an established exhibitor.

2009

Taberner expands the portfolio and the first products orientated towards professional industry chefs and the Hotel and catering channel are born.

2007

ISO9001 standard is implemented (quality management standard).

2001 / 2006

National and international expansion and the evolving of the company towards international quality standards with a special emphasis on the R+D+i & Quality department.

Year 2000

The commercial expansion continues in countries such as Tunisia or USA.

1990s

Attending trade fairs starts the international commercial expansion. France becomes the first European customer, followed by others. Taberner starts to sell in Algeria and creates a branch there. The path to Central America opens up. The creation of the R+D+i department and the installation of the pilot plant places Taberner as a great ally of the customer. Since then, it has a laboratory to help in the entire process.

1980s

The building of the new factory opens a new growth outlook and professionalisation in all areas. Carlos Taberner takes charge of developing the commercial side and Jose Luis of the production side.

1970s

The next generation joins the company, Carlos Taberner and José Luis Taberner, taking a step further in the production of the products.

1950s

After buying a spice mill located in Mislata (Valencia), spices start to be sold and imported from Asia.

1940s

Manuel Taberner starts to sell preparations and ingredients for the meat industry.

Facilities and Logistics Platform

Our facilities, with a surface area of 4,900 m2, enable us to have a high production capacity, both in terms of quantity and variety of product.

We work with latest generation technologies and processes, following a production system which complies with the IFS standard. With it, we guarantee maximum levels of food quality, care for the environment, isolation of allergens and always guaranteeing the maximum quality of the products.

We constantly work towards the continuous improvement and modernisation of our facilities.
